Welcome to MarleeCockapoos, hobby breeders of thoroughly health tested and socialised Cockapoos.

We only breed first generation Cockapoos, which are crosses between the English Cocker Spaniel (Show type) and Miniature/Moyen Poodle, and are based in Bournemouth Dorset.

My partner and I have been dog lovers all our lives, showing dogs, breeding dogs, training dogs so basically if its dog related we’ve been involved in it.

We share our lives with our dogs in our home and couldn’t imagine a life without them.  All our dogs are our pets first and foremost, we have our own fully health tested stud dog Stanley, the most gentle and lovely Cocker Spaniel you will find.  

I (Mark) have now retired and devoting my time to breeding and raising puppies for the family home.  What you put in during those first few months really determine what you end up with as an adult dog.  I feel I go above and beyond any recommendations from any dog organisation on how a puppy should be raised.

Ive researched a lot over the years and fully embrace anything that is positive for dogs.  I’ve become a bit obsessed, when I’m not running around after my own pack or raising puppies then I spend a great deal of time researching anything dog related.

The bit I’m not too keen on is the actual birth, thats where my partner (Lee) comes in.  He’s used to all this, having worked in the horse racing industry for many years, specifically stud work, birthing foals.  He’s seen everything and is amazing at dealing with any birthing emergency.  I’d just panic!

We are a great team and thankfully both have the same doggy interests.

Lee still works, but only part time in our main printing business.  He pops in every day to ensure that all  is running smoothly, and that no one has any problems, then he’s home in the afternoon to help me with our pack.

This is a new website, which I am creating myself, so please bear with me as I populate each section.  It may look a bit diferent every time you come back to visit, I’m always changing my mind on its look and layout.  Some bits may be empty, thats because I’m adding sections so I know what needs populating. I will be updating it regularly and adding new pictures and articles over time, so  one day I hope it to be a very comprehensive site for all Cockapoo related information.
